Zain Haq is a valuable member of the Canadian climate movement. Originally from Pakistan, Zain helped start successful campaigns that used non-violent civil disobedience to demand action on climate change in Canada and was arrested and jailed multiple times as a result.
Because of his non-violent activism, Zain is facing removal from Canada - the place where he has spent the entirety of his adult life.
He is married to fellow activist Sophia Papp and they live together in Vancouver, BC.
